Jaipur Murder Case: Accused Arrested for Killing 19-Year-Old Youth
Jaipur (Rural) police have arrested a 40-year-old man in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old youth. The accused, identified as Ramji Lal Saini, was apprehended on Wednesday. The incident occurred on Sunday night when the accused, under the influence of alcohol, allegedly murdered the victim, Deepak Bunkar. Following the crime, the accused staged a protest demanding justice for the victim.

According to SP Jaipur (Rural) Shantanu Kumar Singh, Saini, a resident of Bari Jori village, was consuming alcohol with Bunkar on the fateful night. During their drinking session, Bunkar showed Saini a picture of a female relative with whom he was allegedly involved in a romantic affair.
Enraged by the picture, Saini took Bunkar to an isolated school building. In a state of intoxication, Saini asked Bunkar to delete all the photographs, leading to a scuffle between them. In the heat of the moment, Saini allegedly strangled Bunkar to death.
When Bunkar did not return home on Monday morning, his family filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Shahpura police station. Initially, the case was treated as a blind murder, and the police worked diligently to apprehend the accused.
Meanwhile, protests erupted, led by the victim’s relatives, demanding compensation for the family. In an attempt to avoid suspicion, the accused actively participated in the protests and joined in demanding justice.

Police officials commented, “There were early signs of suspicion that he (the accused) could be potentially involved in the murder. We tracked his locations and interrogated him, during which he confessed to the crime.”
In addition to arresting the accused, the police have also filed a case against the protesters for violating the Rajasthan Honour of Dead Body Act 2023.
This incident has raised concerns about the need for strict measures to prevent such crimes and ensure the safety of individuals, particularly the youth, in society.
