Six Injured in Indore as Drunk Driver Rams Ambulance into Pedestrians

Six pedestrians, including a woman, sustained injuries on Thursday morning when a driver, identified as Waseem Sheikh (30), allegedly under the influence of alcohol, rammed an ambulance into them in Indore city of Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place in the Central Kotwali and Tukoganj areas of the city. The injured victims have been hospitalized for treatment, according to an official from the Central Kotwali police station.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that the ambulance driver was heavily intoxicated at the time of the accident. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver was unable to provide his name due to the level of alcohol impairment. Members of the public detained the driver and handed him over to the police after assaulting him.

The police later sent the ambulance driver to a hospital for a medical examination. The examination will confirm the driver’s blood alcohol content and further legal action will be taken based on the results.

Sister Duo Falls Victim to Theft during Facial in Indore

In another incident in Indore, two sisters were victims of theft while undergoing a facial treatment at a beauty parlour in the Rau police station area. The incident occurred around 1:30 pm in Sai Vihar Colony, Rau, when an unidentified person absconded with cash and three gold mangalsutras from the sisters’ bag.

Bharti Pal and her sister, Dipika, visited the beauty parlour for their facial treatment. During the procedure, they placed their bag, containing Rs 8,000 and three gold mangalsutras, next to them. A woman named Sandhya was sitting nearby during this time.

Upon completion of their facial, the sisters discovered that the polybag containing the cash and mangalsutras had gone missing. Bharti Pal immediately lodged a complaint at the Rau police station. A case has been registered against an unidentified person, and the police have initiated an investigation into the theft.

During their investigation, the police identified Sandhya as a potential witness, as she was present at the beauty parlour and had made an online transaction. The police will question her to gather more information about the incident.
