A man from Coventry has been apprehended and charged with robbing two businesses in Mansfield within a few minutes of each other, according to the Connecticut State Police.

Robberies Reported at Domino’s Pizza and CVS

Connecticut State Police responded to reports of two commercial robberies on Wednesday afternoon at the Domino’s pizza restaurant on Storrs Road and the nearby CVS. The incidents occurred just before 3:45 p.m.

Firearm Displayed During Robberies

During the investigations, it was revealed that the suspect had brandished a firearm during both robberies, leading authorities to believe that the incidents were connected.

No Injuries Reported

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either of the incidents, providing some relief to the local community.

Suspect Apprehended near Price Chopper Grocery Store

Shortly after the robberies, law enforcement officers located a suspect walking near the Price Chopper grocery store at 1220 Storrs Road. The individual was identified as Jacob Neff, a 25-year-old resident of Coventry.

Neff cooperated with investigators and guided them to the location where he had disposed of a facsimile firearm, which was eventually recovered by the police.

Detectives from the Eastern District Major Crimes Squad were called in to provide additional support and expertise in the ongoing investigation. Their involvement highlights the seriousness with which law enforcement is addressing these incidents.

Charges and Arraignment

Following the investigation, Jacob Neff was transported to Troop C in Tolland and officially charged with the robberies. He now faces charges including first-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, first-degree threatening, possession of a facsimile firearm, and breach of peace.

Neff is currently being held on a bond amounting to $250,000 and is expected to appear for his arraignment at the Rockville Superior Court on Thursday.
