Accident – Death – Obituary News : Authorities have apprehended a 41-year-old man who is suspected of committing two strong-arm robberies in West Hollywood earlier this month. Law enforcement officials are now seeking the help of the public in identifying any additional victims of these crimes.
The first incident took place on January 12th at 12:01 a.m. The suspect, identified as Hardy Arriaza, allegedly followed a woman to her apartment in the 9000 block of Rangely Avenue. A struggle ensued, but the victim managed to break free and seek refuge in a neighbor’s apartment, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Less than two hours later, Arriaza reportedly removed a kitchen window at a nearby residence on the same block and entered another woman’s home. The victim heard the suspect and screamed, prompting him to threaten her. Thankfully, the woman was able to escape her apartment.
Upon the arrival of deputies from the West Hollywood Station, Arriaza was found inside the second victim’s apartment and promptly arrested. However, the investigation into Arriaza’s attempted strong-arm robberies is ongoing.
Arriaza is described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 143 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.
