FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Prosecutors have recently filed a murder charge against 32-year-old Aaron Brown for the fatal stabbing that occurred in east central Fresno last Friday.

The victim has been identified as 69-year-old Gary Bishop. According to the authorities, Aaron Brown, who is the son of the victim’s partner, was arrested for allegedly perpetrating the crime.

The incident took place in an apartment located near the intersection of White and Jackson. It has been revealed that Aaron Brown resided in the same apartment with his mother and Gary Bishop.

The motive behind the stabbing appears to be a disagreement over property between the couple, which resulted in Aaron Brown becoming upset and resorting to violence.

According to investigators, Aaron Brown has a criminal history, having previously served a prison sentence for robbery, assault, and burglary in 2011. However, he was released from prison in July of last year.

Adding to the concerns surrounding this case, Brown was arrested just last week on charges of possession of ammunition. However, due to overcrowding, he was released the day after his arrest.

Aaron Brown is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday to face the murder charge and other related offenses.
