47-Year-Old Wheeling Man killed in Round Lake Crash Identified

Tragic Accident Claims Life of Wojciech Jaworski

ROUND LAKE, IL — The Lake County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of a 47-year-old Wheeling man who tragically lost his life in a three-vehicle crash on Tuesday in Round Lake.

The victim has been identified as Wojciech Jaworski, a resident of Wheeling. The incident occurred on Route 60 near Bacon Road when a Dodge Durango traveling eastbound crossed into the westbound lanes, colliding head-on with Jaworski’s Dodge.

Preliminary findings from the autopsy conducted revealed that Jaworski succumbed to blunt force injuries sustained during the collision.

Multiple Collisions Unfold in Tragic Incident

According to a news release from the Round Lake Police Department, following the initial collision that transpired at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, a Volkswagen Jetta rear-ended the Toyota involved in the crash. Responding officers arrived at the scene to find trapped occupants in the vehicles and an unresponsive Jaworski.

All three drivers involved in the accident were promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where Jaworski was pronounced dead.

Investigation Launched to Determine Cause

The Round Lake Police Department is currently conducting an investigation to establish the cause of the fatal crash. Authorities are meticulously examining the circumstances surrounding the incident to bring clarity and closure to the affected parties.
