Sixth Arrest Made in Connection with Blanchardstown Restaurant Shooting

A sixth person has been taken into custody in relation to the ongoing investigations into a shooting incident that took place at Browne’s Steakhouse in Blanchardstown, Dublin on Christmas Eve.

During the incident, a group of armed individuals entered the restaurant and opened fire, resulting in the injury of Jason Hennessy Snr (48).

Tragically, one of the alleged gunmen, Tristan Sherry (26), was subsequently assaulted and sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr. Hennessy was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. However, despite the efforts of medical professionals, he sadly passed away on January 4th.

As a result of these devastating events, two separate murder investigations have been launched, one for Mr. Sherry and another for Mr. Hennessy.

Latest Arrest

In a recent development, the Gardaí apprehended a male teenager on Wednesday morning under the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997.

The individual is currently being held at a Garda station in Dublin under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
