Investigation Launched into Dauphin Street Homicide

On Monday, January 15, 2024, at approximately 3:00pm, the Gros-Islet Police Station received a distressing report of a shooting that occurred on Dauphin Street in Gros-Islet town.

Upon their arrival at the scene, the diligent Police Officers were met with a grim sight – an individual lying motionless, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the torso. The victim was promptly attended to by Emergency Medical Technicians from the Saint Lucia Fire Service, but unfortunately, their efforts were in vain as the victim was later pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.
The deceased has been identified as Canice Felicien, a twenty-seven-year-old resident of Notre Dame Street in Gros-Islet.
