Authorities have reported that the victim was involved in a fight with the suspect in the parking lot of Fabulous Charbroiled Burgers, located in the 3300 block of W. Rosecrans Avenue, near the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The incident has been described as a “senseless shooting” by investigators.
According to family members, the victim, identified as Eddie McAllister from Lawndale, had just finished his shift as an unarmed security guard before the altercation took place.
Speaking about her father, Emani McAllister, the victim’s daughter, told FOX 11, “Everybody loves him wherever he goes.”
