Beaver County Man Fatally Injured in Crescent Township Crash

Yesterday afternoon, a tragic motor vehicle crash claimed the life of a man from Beaver County. The accident occurred at the intersection of McGovern Boulevard and Purdy Road in Crescent Township, according to reports from TribLive news partner WTAE.

The victim has been identified as Gary Kunder, a 42-year-old resident of Rochester. Unfortunately, Kunder succumbed to his injuries after being transported to the hospital.

There were no other reported injuries resulting from the crash. Crescent Township police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Scottdale Teen Arrested for Assaulting Staff Member at Greensburg School

A 16-year-old girl from Scottdale has been arrested by Pennsylvania State Police for assaulting a staff member at Pressley Ridge Day School Greensburg. The incident occurred on January 9th at the school located along Bovard Luxor Road.

The victim, Maria Pitonyak, a 41-year-old resident of Mt. Pleasant, suffered injuries during the assault. The specific nature and severity of her injuries have not been disclosed by the authorities.

Pressley Ridge Day School Greensburg is a private educational institution catering to students between the ages of 5 and 21 with autism spectrum disorder or behavioral and mental health issues. The facility provides small class sizes and a dedicated team of professionals to support each student’s unique needs.

Vehicle Collides with PennDOT Dump Truck in Slippery Rock

No injuries were reported yesterday morning after a driver lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a PennDOT dump truck in Butler County. The incident occurred at the Sheetz on Franklin Street in Slippery Rock.

The driver, identified as Malcom Henry, a 24-year-old resident of Pittsgrove, entered the Sheetz parking lot but was unable to stop due to the snowfall and slippery road conditions. As a result, the vehicle collided with the parked PennDOT truck, causing moderate damage to its rear end and sand spreader.

Fortunately, Henry was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, minimizing the risk of injury. State police are investigating the incident further.
