Wheeling Man killed in Round Lake Crash Identified

The Lake County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of a 47-year-old Wheeling man who tragically lost his life in a three-vehicle crash that occurred on Tuesday in Round Lake, Illinois.

The victim has been identified as Wojciech Jaworski, a resident of Wheeling. According to authorities, Jaworski was driving west on Route 60 near Bacon Road when an eastbound Dodge Durango crossed into the westbound lanes, resulting in a head-on collision with Jaworski’s Dodge.

An autopsy conducted by the Lake County Coroner’s Office revealed that Jaworski’s cause of death was blunt force injuries sustained in the crash.

The incident took place at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday. Following the initial collision, a Volkswagen Jetta rear-ended the Toyota involved in the crash, according to a news release from the Round Lake Police Department.

Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers discovered that the occupants of the vehicles were trapped inside. Jaworski was found unresponsive and sadly pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital along with the other drivers involved.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the crash.
