Two Men Allegedly Shoot at 22-Year-Old in Suspected Road Rage Incident

Delhi, UK – In a disturbing incident of road rage, two men reportedly shot a 22-year-old man in west Delhi’s Janakpuri. The victim, identified as Jatin Jain from Sonipat, was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital after sustaining bullet injuries. Currently, he is undergoing treatment for his wounds.

The Delhi police have registered a case under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code, which pertains to an attempt to murder. The incident came to light when a PCR call was received at 11.50 a.m., alerting authorities of the firing incident near Professor Joginder Marg in Janakpuri. Police immediately dispatched teams to the location for further investigation.

According to the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that Jatin Jain had arrived in the area to meet a friend. However, while parking his car at the District Centre, an argument erupted between him and two men on a motorcycle after their vehicles collided. The altercation escalated quickly, leading to tragic consequences.

DCP (West) Vichitra Veer provided additional details about the incident, stating, “After a while, Jatin and his friend crossed the road, and the two men followed them. Suddenly, one of the men brandished a pistol and fired a shot at Mr. Jain, striking him in the hip.”

Upon receiving the distress call, the police swiftly intervened and managed to apprehend one of the accused, identified as Vishal. This individual has a history of involvement in eight cases of theft and robbery. Meanwhile, the pillion rider accompanying Vishal remains unidentified.

Investigations are currently underway to gather more evidence and ascertain the motive behind the attack. The police are leaving no stone unturned to bring the second suspect to justice and ensure a thorough investigation into this heinous crime.
