Tragedy Strikes as 14-Year-Old Boy Brutally Murdered in Siaya

Police in the Gem area of Yala sub-county, Siaya County, are currently investigating the horrifying murder of a 14-year-old boy. The victim was reportedly attacked by a neighbor and brutally struck on the head with a blunt object, leading to his untimely demise.

Neighborhood Dispute Turns Fatal

The victim, identified as Barack Obama Otieno, fell victim to the violent assault allegedly carried out by Charles Ouma Otuor, a neighbor with whom he had a previous disagreement. The altercation escalated quickly, resulting in Otuor striking Otieno on the head, leaving him fatally injured.

Distraught Father Reports the Tragic Incident

The heart-wrenching incident was brought to the attention of the authorities by Alfayo Otieno, the grief-stricken father of the deceased. He reported the dreadful occurrence to the Yala police station in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Victim Succumbs to Injuries

Following the merciless attack, young Obama was promptly rushed to the Yala Sub County hospital for urgent medical treatment. Tragically, despite the efforts of the medical team, the severity of his injuries proved fatal, and he tragically passed away while undergoing treatment.

Investigation Underway as Suspect Remains at Large

The Siaya County Police Boss, Cleti Kemboi, has assured the public that a thorough investigation is being conducted to bring the perpetrator to justice. The deceased’s body has been transferred to the Yala Hospital mortuary, where it will await an autopsy. Detectives are currently closing in on the primary suspect, Charles Ouma Otuor.
