Tulsa Police Investigate Fatal Shooting of 18-Year-Old Seely Rudolph

TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into a tragic incident that occurred in the early hours of January 14th. At around 2:15 a.m., authorities responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of 31st and 129th E. Ave.

Upon arrival, officers discovered 18-year-old Seely Rudolph had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. The police quickly launched a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Preliminary findings indicate that the suspected shooter, a 17-year-old, was also present at the scene. Alongside Rudolph, a woman was also in the car when the firearm discharged, resulting in Rudolph’s tragic death.

According to the Tulsa Police Department, the shooter informed investigators that he had been playing with the weapon while seated in the back of the car. In an unfortunate turn of events, the gun accidentally fired, fatally striking Rudolph.

Authorities have determined that the shooter was in possession of a .45 semi-automatic 1911 pistol, which he had obtained from a friend’s residence. The Tulsa Police Department is treating this incident as a murder and is diligently working to gather all relevant evidence and information.
