HAWTHORNE, Calif. –
Tragedy struck in Hawthorne on Sunday morning as a shooting incident claimed the life of one individual and left another injured. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has initiated an investigation into the incident.
According to reports, the incident occurred shortly before 11:30 a.m. in the 2000 block of 120th street.
SkyFOX captured images from the scene, revealing a parking lot with two vehicles surrounded by numerous evidence markers. One of the cars displayed a shattered rear window, indicative of gunshots fired. Law enforcement authorities had cordoned off the area with police tape.
Emergency services promptly transported both victims to a nearby hospital. Regrettably, one of the victims succumbed to their injuries, while the condition of the other victim remains unknown at this time.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is actively working on the investigation.
