Yo Gotti’s Brother, Anthony “Big Jook” Mims, Fatally Shot in Memphis

Memphis rapper Yo Gotti’s brother, Anthony “Big Jook” Mims, was tragically killed in a shooting incident on Saturday, confirmed by the Memphis Police Department on Sunday.

The Shooting Incident

According to a Facebook post by the MPD, an officer in the vicinity of 6385 Winchester Road heard multiple gunshots at around 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. The officer immediately responded to the location and discovered two victims with multiple gunshot wounds. Both victims were promptly transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

Regrettably, Anthony Mims, aged 47, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The second male victim remains in stable condition as of Sunday, according to the police.

Investigation and Suspects

During a press conference held on Saturday evening, Deputy Chief Paul Wright stated that the police were currently reviewing surveillance footage but had not yet identified a suspect. At the time, it was also unclear if there were multiple shooters involved in the incident.

Deputy Chief Wright remarked, “We do believe that the individual who was shot may have been targeted by the suspect.”

On Sunday, the police received information from a witness at the scene, indicating that individuals in a white SUV were responsible for the shooting. The vehicle in question is described as a white Ford Explorer with black wheels and dark tinted windows. Surveillance video footage captured images of the vehicle.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
