Yo Gotti’s Brother Shot Dead Outside Restaurant in Memphis

Anthony ‘Big Jook’ Mims, the brother of rapper Yo Gotti, has tragically been shot and killed outside a restaurant in Memphis, Tennessee. The incident occurred on Saturday at the Perignons Restaurant and Event Center, where Anthony was gunned down along with another unidentified victim.

According to the Memphis Police Department, officers were alerted to the shooting at around 4:15pm local time. They arrived at the scene on Winchester and discovered a male victim who was later pronounced dead at St Francis Hospital. Another male, critically injured, arrived at the same hospital by private vehicle.

While the police have not released the identities of the victims, multiple sources, including Fox 13, have confirmed that Yo Gotti’s older brother was the one who lost his life in the shooting.

Chief Deputy Paul Wright, speaking at a press conference, stated that the police currently do not have a suspect in custody but are reviewing video evidence related to the incident. The investigation is still ongoing.

TMZ reported that Yo Gotti’s brother had attended a funeral earlier in the day before the shooting occurred. It is unknown whether Yo Gotti was present at the time of the incident, and he has not yet made a public statement regarding the tragedy.

Yo Gotti, whose real name is Mario Sentell Giden Mims, had a close working relationship with his brother Anthony, who often appeared in the rapper’s music videos.
