Goldsboro Police Investigating Fatal Shooting of Teenager
GOLDSBORO, N.C. – A tragic incident unfolded in Goldsboro on Saturday afternoon as local authorities launched an investigation into the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old teenager.

According to the Goldsboro Police Department, officers swiftly responded to a ShotSpotter alert at around 3:30 p.m. The incident occurred in the 900 block of North Madison Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, who had sustained a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services rushed him to UNC Health Wayne, where he was sadly pronounced dead.
To protect the privacy of the victim and their family, the identity of the deceased teenager has not been released to the public at this time.
