Fatal Shooting Under Investigation in Salt Lake City

A homicide investigation is underway in Salt Lake City following a fatal shooting that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning.

According to officials from the Salt Lake City Police, the incident was reported to dispatch at around 2:30 a.m. on January 14. The shooting was said to have taken place near the intersection of 300 East and 800 South.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the lifeless body of a man on the sidewalk. Due to the circumstances surrounding the incident, homicide detectives and crime lab technicians were called in to assist with the investigation.
