A Texas woman has been arrested in Houston in connection to the death of her missing girlfriend, whose body was found on a hiking trail last week. According to ABC affiliate KTRK, Horn’s older sister, Rokeisha Calton, revealed that she last spoke to her sister on January 2 to make plans for her upcoming 19th birthday party. However, family members had not heard from Horn since that phone call, leading them to report her missing on January 4.

Tragically, Horn’s body was discovered the following day on a hiking trail near Buffalo Bayou in downtown Houston. Days before Turner’s arrest, Calton informed KTRK that her sister knew someone, later identified as Turner, who lived in the apartment building near where detectives found her body.

In an interview with KRIV, Horn’s other sister, Skinesha Granville, shared that Turner and Horn had been in a relationship for over a year but described it as “very toxic.” Granville revealed that Turner would physically abuse Horn and that she had to intervene to protect her sister on multiple occasions.

According to court documents cited by local outlet KPRC 2, Turner allegedly strangled her girlfriend following an argument in which she accused Horn of giving her a sexually transmitted disease. Turner is currently held in Harris County jail on a $100,000 bond and is set to appear in court on Tuesday.
