Accident – death – Obituary News : Man Wanted for Murder in Marion County Shooting
Marion County, Fla. – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a man in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday. The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Melvin Arias, is wanted for murder after allegedly shooting and killing 47-year-old Milagros Guzman Lopez at Marion Oaks Boulevard.

According to authorities, the incident took place around 1:57 p.m. when deputies responded to a call regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered that Guzman Lopez had been shot and killed. Witnesses at the scene informed law enforcement that Arias arrived at the location and engaged in an argument before pulling out a gun and shooting the victim. He then fled the scene.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warning that Arias should be considered armed and dangerous. If anyone has any information regarding his whereabouts, they are urged to call 911 immediately.
