One Person killed in Fatal Car Crash in Moore County

A tragic car accident in Moore County, Texas, on Friday evening has left one person dead, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

The Accident

The incident occurred when a sedan traveling eastbound on FM 281 at around 7 p.m. suddenly veered into the westbound lane and entered the north ditch. The driver of the sedan, identified as 82-year-old Jimmy Lamb from Sunray, lost control of the vehicle and over-corrected the steering, causing the sedan to roll over. Lamb, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle.

The sedan eventually came to a rest on its roof in the center of the roadway. Tragically, Lamb was pronounced dead at the scene by Moore County Justice of the Peace Britt Marquez.

Investigation Underway

The Texas Department of Public Safety is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. It is still unclear why the driver veered into the opposite lane, leading to the tragic outcome.
