Tragic Incident in Ogun State Leaves Community in Shock

In a devastating turn of events, a bus driver named Philip Fiama has lost his life after being stabbed by a co-tenant in the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State. The incident, which occurred on January 7, has left the community of Sobande Close, Alagbole, Ajuwon in disbelief.

According to reports, Fiama, an indigene of Adamawa State, confronted his co-tenant, Ikem Emmanuel, suspecting him of having an affair with his wife. The confrontation quickly escalated into a physical altercation, leading to a fatal outcome.

Details of the Incident

On the fateful day, at approximately 6:30 pm, Fiama approached Emmanuel and confronted him about the alleged affair. The heated argument soon turned violent, and in a shocking act of aggression, Emmanuel stabbed Fiama, causing fatal injuries.

Tragically, Fiama succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, Emmanuel fled the scene and his current whereabouts remain unknown.

Confirmation from the Police

The Ogun State Police Command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident, shedding light on the sequence of events. According to Odutola, the landlord of Sobande Close, Alagbole, Ajuwon, reported the incident around 8 pm on January 7.

“Philip Fiama, a tenant, accused Ikem Chika Emmanuel, another tenant, of sleeping with his wife,” Odutola stated. “This accusation escalated into a fight, during which Emmanuel stabbed Fiama in the chest. Unfortunately, Fiama was pronounced dead upon arrival at Tamara Hospital.”

Odutola further revealed that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department at the Ogun State Police Command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta. Authorities are actively pursuing Emmanuel, who remains at large.
