Upon arrival at the scene, officers successfully located the stolen car as described by the caller. To their surprise, they found a man sleeping in the driver’s seat with a screwdriver in the ignition, according to the police report. However, the police were not far behind and managed to apprehend the suspect hiding under nearby mattresses in an open lot close to the crash site.
