Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police in Delaware are currently investigating a shooting incident that took place in the Summer Hill community. The incident occurred on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at approximately 5:58 p.m., prompting the immediate response of patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police.

Upon receiving the dispatch, officers were provided with a description of a suspect who was seen running from the scene. Responding swiftly, the officers were able to apprehend an individual who matched the provided description. The suspect was identified as 26-year-old Ammanuel Falice of Newark.
During the arrest, law enforcement discovered that Falice was in possession of a firearm and a loaded magazine. Subsequently, he was transported to the New Castle County Police headquarters for further processing. Meanwhile, at the scene of the shooting, investigators uncovered evidence indicating that a residence had been struck by gunfire.
As a result of the investigation, Ammanuel Falice has been charged with several offenses, including one count of felony reckless endangering in the first degree, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and criminal mischief. He was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and is currently being held in lieu of $65,500 cash bail.
