Tuscaloosa Police Identify Fosters Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Skyland Boulevard

In a tragic incident on Thursday night, a 22-year-old woman from Fosters, identified as Kaitlynn Chiana Cook, was hit and killed by a vehicle on Skyland Boulevard in Tuscaloosa. The Tuscaloosa Police Department has confirmed the victim’s identity after notifying her next of kin.

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. in the 200 block of Skyland Boulevard East. Upon arrival, officers from the Tuscaloosa Police Department, along with the Tuscaloosa Fire Department and Northstar EMS, found Cook unresponsive. She was immediately transported to DCH Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead shortly after.

According to the driver and passenger of the vehicle involved, they were traveling west on Skyland Boulevard when Cook walked into the street. The Tuscaloosa Police Department’s Traffic Homicide Unit is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
