Truck Accident in Jaipur: Man Crushed to death by Speeding Truck in Mansarovar

The Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Girdhari Lal provided details of the accident. He stated that the victim, Yash Janayani, was a resident of the Malviya Nagar area and was riding a scooter when the incident occurred. “At around 11.15 am, a truck collided with him, resulting in his immediate death due to the impact,” said ASI Girdhari Lal.

Yash Janayani was employed at an insurance company located in Mansarovar. Tragically, the truck, which was coming from Muhana Mandi, struck him, causing severe injuries. Upon reaching the accident scene, the police immediately called for an ambulance and rushed Janayani to a nearby hospital. However, the doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

The truck driver, identified as Rajesh and a resident of Phagi, was promptly arrested by the police. Residents of the area expressed concerns about the high-speed traffic near Mahima Circle, stating that trucks, buses, and cars often pose a threat to pedestrians and two-wheeler riders. They mentioned that accidents like these occur frequently, especially when people from the nearby colony try to cross the intersection.

In a similar incident, a 43-year-old Delhi resident, Navin Kumar Saini, lost his life in a bike accident at Subhash Chowk underpass. Navin’s bike was hit by a truck, and the truck driver fled the scene, resulting in a hit-and-run case. Navin’s younger brother, Sachin Kumar, filed a complaint with the police, alleging negligence on the part of the truck driver. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Navin succumbed to his injuries. An autopsy was conducted, and an FIR was registered against an unidentified accused for rash driving and causing death by accident.

These unfortunate accidents highlight the need for increased road safety measures and stricter enforcement of traffic rules in Jaipur. Authorities must address the issue of speeding vehicles in residential areas to prevent further loss of life.
