Woman Found Dead Following Well-Being Check in Wichita
SEDGWICK COUNTY — Law enforcement officials are currently investigating the untimely demise of a woman after a routine well-being check in Wichita.
According to Andrew Ford, the spokesperson for the Wichita Police Department, officers responded to a 911 call reporting a check on well-being in the 900 block of E. Mt. Vernon Street at approximately 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

Upon their arrival, the police officers were met by Sedgwick County EMS, who had already pronounced the victim, identified as Tracy McFadden, a 48-year-old woman, deceased. It remains unclear how McFadden ended up at this specific location.
Following the incident, the body of the deceased was transported to the Sedgwick County Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination. An autopsy will be conducted in order to determine the exact cause of death, as stated by Andrew Ford.
