Kanpur-Sagar Highway Accident Claims Three Lives Including a Minor Boy

Kanpur: A tragic accident occurred on the Kanpur-Sagar Highway in Hamirpur district, resulting in the loss of three lives, including that of a minor boy. The victims, identified as Sharifuddin (16), Rohit (25), and Akash (28), were traveling on a motorcycle when they were hit by an unidentified vehicle. The collision took place near Mawai village during the early hours of Wednesday.

According to the police, the deceased individuals were residents of Ilahi Talab and were employed at Muskaan DJ and Light Establishment in Ali Nagar. They had gone to Mawai village to provide DJ services for an event. While returning to Maudaha at around 1 am, the accident occurred, leading to their untimely demise.

Ajay Kumar, the father of Akash, has filed a complaint with the police. A case has been registered against the unknown driver, and a search operation is currently underway to locate the vehicle involved in the accident.

Circle Officer (Sadar) Shreyas Tripathi stated that Maudaha police have booked a case against the unidentified driver for causing deaths due to rash driving. The bodies of the victims have been sent to the district hospital for postmortem examination. The police are actively investigating the root cause of the accident and analyzing CCTV footage in hopes of making a breakthrough in the case.
