Panaji (Goa) [India], January 11 (ANI): Suchana Seth, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a Bengaluru-based start-up company, has been arrested for allegedly murdering her four-year-old son at a hotel in Goa. However, she is not cooperating with the ongoing investigation, according to the police.

Goa’s Director General of Police (DGP) Jaspal Singh informed ANI that the accused is not providing any assistance to the investigators at this stage of the investigation. The police intend to confront the accused with the evidence gathered so far.

DGP Singh also mentioned that they have a 90-day window to file the chargesheet. He stated, “We have collected all the necessary evidence during the preliminary investigation. We are in the process of analyzing and confronting the evidence to determine the motive behind the crime. Our aim is to bring this incident to a logical conclusion.”

Earlier today, the accused underwent a routine medical examination under police supervision. Following the examination, she was taken back to the Calangute police station in Goa.

The accused, identified as Suchana Seth, was arrested after attempting to flee to Bengaluru with her son’s body hidden in a bag. The hotel staff became suspicious when they discovered red-colored stains in the room, which they suspected to be blood. Subsequently, they alerted the police.

Upon inquiry, the woman initially informed the officials that her son was staying at a friend’s place in Goa. However, the provided address turned out to be fake. As a result, the police instructed the cab driver to take the vehicle to the police station for further investigation. During the inspection of the luggage, the police discovered the body of the deceased child.

An FIR has been filed in the matter, and the accused has been remanded to six-day police custody by the Goa court. The body of the four-year-old has been transferred to a hospital for a postmortem examination.

“The body of the 4-year-old boy has been transferred to a hospital in Aimangala. After the postmortem, it will be handed over to the Goa Police,” stated Kumar Naik, a health inspector at Hiriyur government hospital in Chitradurga district, Karnataka.
