Female Official of Bangladeshi Bank Dies in Tragic Accident

A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday night in Mowchak area of the capital city, resulting in the death of a female official from the Bangladeshi Bank. The victim, identified as Dipanwita Biswas Dipu, 37, was an assistant director of the prestigious Bangladesh Bank. She was a resident of Satkhira district and leaves behind a three-year-old daughter.

The unfortunate incident took place near Fakhruddin restaurant in the bustling Mowchak Market area. Md Awlad, a sub-inspector from the Ramna Model police station, confirmed the incident.

According to Dipanwita’s husband, Arun Kumar, the incident occurred while she was returning home from her office at Bangladesh Bank’s Sadarghat branch. She had disembarked from a bus in the Shantinagar area and was walking towards her residence in Moghbazar.

Tragically, she sustained severe head injuries after being hit by falling brick chips from an unidentified building in the area, as reported by the police official.

Concerned locals rushed Dipanwita to Dr Sirajul Islam Medical College Hospital, hoping for her recovery. Unfortunately, the doctors declared her dead upon arrival at the hospital, adding to the sorrow of her family and friends.

Following the incident, Dipanwita’s family filed a general diary (GD) with the local police station. Law enforcement authorities are currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the incident, as stated by Md Awlad.
