Webley, a resident of Windsor Mill, was shot by police officers after he “engaged” with the Baltimore County Police Department on January 9th, according to police officials. The Attorney General’s office declined to release the names of the three officers involved in the shooting, citing specific security concerns.

Details surrounding the shooting

The incident unfolded on Tuesday when officers from the Baltimore County Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance call in Pikesville. The call reported the presence of an armed individual, but by the time the police arrived at the scene on Reisterstown Road, the man had already left the area.

Officers later found Webley at a nearby gas station. He allegedly pointed a gun at the officers, prompting them to retreat and establish a barricade. After exiting the gas station and “engaging” with the officers, Webley was shot by three Baltimore County Police officers. The duration of Webley’s presence inside the gas station and the events that occurred upon his exit remain unclear.

Webley was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital. The three officers involved in the shooting were equipped with body-worn cameras and have been placed on routine, paid administrative leave. Police recovered a handgun near Webley, and no other individuals were injured during the incident.
