Man Allegedly Shoots Himself to Frame Friend in Attack Case

A shocking incident occurred in Greater Noida on Wednesday when a 25-year-old man reportedly shot himself in the arm, allegedly with the intention of implicating his friend in an attack case. Police officials provided details of the incident which took place around 8.30 am in the Kaanth Mandi area, falling under the jurisdiction of Dadri police station.

The man in question has been identified as Tanuj Nagar, who had lent approximately Rs 15 lakh to his friend Rishabh Gupta two years ago. However, the repayment of the loan had been significantly delayed, which had led Nagar to visit Gupta’s house for repayment upon receiving a call from him, according to a police officer.

Accompanied by another friend who remained outside Gupta’s residence, Nagar engaged in a conversation with Gupta inside. Unexpectedly, Nagar took out a firearm and shot himself in the arm. Immediately after, he fled from the premises, leaving behind a perplexed Gupta. The police officer stated that this act was seemingly carried out to falsely implicate Gupta in a criminal case.

Nagar was swiftly rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, and fortunately, his condition is now stable and out of danger, as reported by the police. However, no official case has been registered yet. The police are currently in the process of gathering all relevant facts pertaining to the incident. They are also examining the firearm’s documentation before taking any legal action.
