23-Year-Old Momo Cart Owner Allegedly Stabs Customer Over Red Sauce Demand

A shocking incident took place in Shahdara, Delhi, when a 23-year-old momo cart owner allegedly stabbed a customer in the face. The accused, identified as Vikas, reportedly became enraged when the customer demanded extra red sauce on his plate. The reason for his anger was the limited stock of red sauce available at his cart. In a fit of rage, Vikas pulled out a knife and stabbed the customer multiple times before fleeing the scene.

The victim, identified as 34-year-old Kumar Sandeep, suffered stab wounds on his cheek and was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. The injuries sustained by Sandeep were severe, and he is currently undergoing medical care. Sandeep and his family own a small factory that manufactures mobile accessories in Shahdara’s Bholanath Nagar.

The incident occurred on Wednesday evening at the Bhikam Singh Colony near Vishwas Nagar in Shahdara. The accused, Vikas, is currently on the run, and a case of attempted murder has been registered against him. The police have deployed teams to apprehend Vikas and bring him to justice.

DCP Rohit Meena of Shahdara stated, “We received a distress call on Wednesday evening reporting a stabbing near the Farsh Bazar police station. Upon reaching the scene, we found Sandeep severely injured and immediately rushed him to a local hospital. Sandeep, a resident of New Sanjay Amar Colony, had visited a nearby momo shop in the evening, where he suffered two stab wounds to his face.”

During the investigation, Sandeep revealed that he was acquainted with Vikas and frequently visited his momo cart. On that unfortunate evening, Sandeep went alone to enjoy some momos and expressed his dissatisfaction with the quantity of chutney/sauce provided. He claimed that he had politely requested Vikas for more spicy red sauce, but the accused became furious due to the limited stock. The situation escalated quickly, with Vikas verbally abusing Sandeep and pushing him. In self-defense, Sandeep retaliated by hitting Vikas, leading the enraged cart owner to grab a knife from his cart and stab Sandeep.

After the attack, Vikas panicked and fled the scene, leaving behind his cart. Despite the pain and distress caused by his injuries, Sandeep managed to attract the attention of locals who promptly came to his aid. They immediately rushed him to the hospital, where he is currently in stable condition but requires ongoing medical treatment.
