Tragedy struck as four lives were lost in separate road accidents that occurred in Delhi and Sonipat, Haryana. Among the victims were two police officers and a two-year-old child. The incidents have left the communities in shock and authorities investigating the causes of the accidents.

Road Crash near Pyau Maniyara, Sonipat

On the intervening night of January 8-9, a tragic road crash took place near Pyau Maniyara in Sonipat, Haryana, just 60 km away from the national capital, Delhi. Two Delhi Police inspectors were traveling in a car for official work when the accident occurred. According to the FIR registered by the Haryana Police, a truck suddenly applied brakes in front of the car, leading to the collision. The impact of the collision proved fatal, causing the death of both inspectors. The deceased were identified as Inspector Dinesh Beniwal, who was posted in the North West District Special Staff, and ATO Inspector Ranveer, who was posted at the Adarsh Nagar police station. The injured officers were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but they were declared brought dead by the medical staff. The Haryana Police have registered an FIR under sections 279 (rash driving) and 304 A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code and initiated a thorough investigation into the matter.

Tragic Mishap in Punjabi Bagh, Delhi

A devastating accident occurred in the Punjabi Bagh area of west Delhi, resulting in the loss of a 32-year-old woman and her two-year-old son. Another man was left injured in the accident. The Delhi Police received a PCR call regarding the accident, which involved a motorcycle and pedestrians. Authorities quickly responded and arrived at the scene near Madipur metro station on Rohtak road, where they found the motorcycle lying on the road. The deceased were identified as Seema (32) and her two-year-old son Daksh. The injured man was identified as Prashant Srivastava (32). Preliminary investigations revealed that the accident occurred when a recklessly driven motorcycle collided with another two-wheeler being driven by Srivastava. The impact caused Srivastava to lose balance and hit Seema, who was crossing the road at that time. Tragically, her toddler son fell from her lap onto the road. Seema suffered a fatal head injury, and both she and her son were declared dead upon reaching the hospital.

Sonipat Tragedy

Another unfortunate incident took place in Sonipat, Haryana, on the night of January 8-9. Two Delhi Police inspectors, who were traveling in a car for official work, collided with a truck after the latter suddenly applied brakes. The impact of the collision led to the tragic deaths of both policemen. The deceased officers have been identified as Dinesh Beniwal and Ranveer. The Haryana Police have initiated an investigation into the matter to determine the exact cause of the accident.
