Three Arrested for Stealing 13 Two-Wheelers in Chengalpattu
CHENNAI: Three individuals, including a juvenile, have been apprehended by the Chengalpattu police on charges of stealing 13 two-wheelers from various locations. The incident came to light when Durai (39), a resident of Sunambedu, discovered that his motorbike, which he had parked in front of his house, had gone missing the following morning.
Acting on Durai’s complaint, the Sunambedu police conducted a vehicle inspection at Pudupattu in the district, where they managed to intercept three young individuals who were riding a stolen motorbike. “Upon noticing our presence, the trio attempted to flee, but they were apprehended,” said a police officer.

The suspects have been identified as Ali, also known as Ajithkumar (19) from Sunambedu, Dileep, also known as Puru Anand (22) from Alathur, and a 17-year-old juvenile. Ajithkumar and Puru Anand have been remanded in judicial custody, while the juvenile has been sent to a government observation home. According to police sources, the three individuals are believed to have stolen a total of 13 two-wheelers from locations including Sunambedu, Acharapakkam, Marakkanam, Tindivanam, and even Puducherry.
