Man in His 30s Fatally Shot in Daylight Incident at Vaughan Plaza

A tragic incident unfolded last month when a man in his 30s succumbed to his injuries following a daylight shooting at a plaza in Vaughan. The incident has now become the subject of a homicide investigation.

The incident took place in the vicinity of Highway 7 and Ansley Grove Road, located to the west of Weston Road. Authorities were alerted to the situation after receiving reports of gunshots being fired.

Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement discovered a male victim outside a store, suffering from gunshot wounds. Recognizing the severity of his injuries, emergency medical services promptly rushed him to the hospital in critical condition.

Tragically, the victim, identified as 34-year-old Robert Hinn from Vaughan, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday. The loss of a life in such a senseless act of violence has left the community in shock and mourning.

Law enforcement officials are currently on the lookout for at least two suspects who fled the area in a dark-coloured SUV. The shooter, described as a male, was wearing all dark clothing and had his face concealed by a dark face mask.

At present, no description of the second suspect has been released to the public.

Investigators have determined that this shooting was targeted and emphasize that there is no immediate threat to public safety. Despite this reassurance, the incident has understandably created a heightened sense of concern among residents.

Authorities are urging any individuals who witnessed the shooting or may have captured relevant footage on their dashcams to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
