Man Charged with Shooting Leaves Victim Seriously Injured in Hegewisch

CHICAGO (CBS) – A man has been arrested and charged with shooting another man, causing serious injuries in Hegewisch last month.
The suspect, Vanderk Mccondichie, aged 43, was apprehended on Monday by the Chicago Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. He now faces one felony count of first-degree murder.

The incident occurred on December 30 in the 13200 block of South Buffalo Avenue, where Mccondichie allegedly shot a 31-year-old man.
Mccondichie is scheduled for a detention hearing on Wednesday to determine further legal proceedings.
