“Man Arrested in Double Stabbing at Pueblo West Tavern: Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office Takes David Baloun into Custody for Assault”

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Pueblo West, Colo. – Authorities from the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) apprehended an individual following a violent altercation resulting in a double stabbing at a local tavern in Pueblo West during the early hours of Tuesday, January 9.

At approximately 1:40 a.m., PCSO deputies promptly responded to a distress call reporting the incident at Jimmy’s Tavern, situated on South McCulloch Boulevard. Upon arrival, law enforcement officials were informed that a 22-year-old male had sustained severe injuries, while a 27-year-old female suffered minor wounds after a heated argument escalated into physical violence. Both victims were swiftly transported to a nearby medical facility for immediate treatment.

The PCSO revealed that the assailant, identified as 34-year-old David Baloun, had been asked to leave the premises by the bar’s staff. However, as others inside the establishment attempted to persuade him to exit, a brawl ensued, culminating in the stabbing of the two victims outside the tavern.

Baloun managed to flee the scene before deputies arrived, but was subsequently located walking near Joe Martinez Boulevard and South Dante Drive in Pueblo West. Law enforcement apprehended him without further incident, charging him with First and Second-Degree Assault. Baloun was subsequently booked into the Pueblo County Jail to await legal proceedings.
