AI Startup CEO Suchana Seth Arrested in Connection with Alleged Murder of 4-Year-Old Son

In a shocking turn of events, Suchana Seth, a 39-year-old CEO of an AI startup called Mindful AI Lab in Bengaluru, has been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of her four-year-old son in Goa. The incident came to light when the child’s body was discovered in a bag hidden inside a taxi in the Chitradurga district of Karnataka, where Seth was apprehended by authorities.

She is also recognized as one of the “100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics.” Seth has held prestigious positions as a Mozilla Fellow at Data & Society, a Fellow at the Berkman Klein Centre at Harvard University, and a research fellow at the Raman Research Institute. Furthermore, she has made significant contributions to the domain of natural language processing, holding multiple patents in this field.

Seth’s Alleged Crime

According to the police, Seth orchestrated a trip to Goa with her son in an apparent attempt to prevent her estranged husband from meeting the child. However, tragedy struck as the child was found dead in a room at a service apartment in North Goa. The suspicious behavior of Seth, who checked in with her son but was later seen alone, raised concerns among the staff. They promptly contacted emergency services (112), leading to the discovery of the crime. The police swiftly located and arrested Seth, with her son’s lifeless body found in the car she was traveling in. The accused now faces charges of murder and is currently in police custody.

The husband of the accused, Venkat Raman, who is presently in Jakarta, was informed about the incident by the police, as reported by Times Of India.
