On the 8th of January, Monday, deputies promptly responded to a distress call reporting a shooting incident at 5740 Casar Road.

Authorities found the lifeless bodies of Laurie Ann Marks and Kimberly Renee McNeilly inside a car parked in the driveway of the residence. The investigation revealed that the suspect had fled to a residence located on Oakgrove-Cloverhill Church Road, prompting another call to the authorities.

Subsequently, deputies apprehended Thomas Gene Eaker, 32, at the specified address. Eaker has been charged with two counts of murder in connection with the tragic incident.

It has come to light that Marks and Eaker were involved in a dating relationship, though the exact motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.
