Tragic Shooting Claims the Life of a 5-Year-Old Boy in Bessemer, Alabama
BESSEMER, Ala. (WBRC/Gray News) – In a heart-wrenching incident on Sunday morning, a 5-year-old boy lost his life due to a fatal gunshot wound while receiving a haircut in Bessemer, Alabama.

The authorities at the Bessemer Police Department have launched a thorough investigation into the shooting that occurred shortly after 10 a.m. on 7th Avenue North in Bessemer.
The incident involved an unidentified man and a young child, prompting immediate response from officers and medical services who rushed to the scene.
The child, identified as Brandon Jamal Nation, III, was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, but tragically succumbed to his injuries.
The man involved in the incident, whose identity remains undisclosed, was also taken to a hospital for urgent medical treatment. Presently, he remains in critical condition, as confirmed by the police.

According to the Associated Press, the mother of the victim had taken him to the residence for a haircut when an unidentified perpetrator started firing shots from outside the home. The injured man, who was revealed to be the barber, was also caught in the line of fire.
