Tragic Shooting Claims Life of 5-Year-Old Boy during Haircut in Bessemer, Alabama

Bessemer, Alabama – In a heart-wrenching incident, a 5-year-old boy lost his life on Sunday morning while undergoing a routine haircut. The Bessemer Police Department has initiated an investigation into the shooting, which occurred around 10 a.m. on 7th Avenue North in Bessemer.

According to reports, the horrifying incident unfolded when an unidentified man and a young child were present at the location. Swift action was taken, and both law enforcement officers and medical services were immediately dispatched to the scene.

The young child has been identified as Brandon Jamal Nation, III, as reported by WBRC. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, tragically, he succumbed to his injuries, leaving the community devastated.

The unnamed man, who was also critically injured during the incident, was promptly provided medical assistance and transported to a hospital for treatment. Currently, he remains in critical condition, according to the Bessemer Police Department.

Authorities have disclosed that Nation’s mother had taken him to the residence for a haircut when an unidentified assailant unleashed a barrage of gunfire from outside the home. Shockingly, the injured man turned out to be the barber, as confirmed by the police.
