CHITRADURGA: The Chitradurga police on Tuesday morning apprehended a 39-year-old startup founder and CEO from Bengaluru near the Aymangala tollgate. The arrest was made in response to a request from the Candolim police in North Goa.

The Superintendent of Police, Dharmander Kumar Meena, disclosed that the Aymangala police had been monitoring the movement of a specific car based on the information shared by the Candolim police. Upon flagging the car at the Aymangala tollgate, officials discovered a bag containing the body of a child.

The woman, later identified as Suchana Seth, was detained by the Chitradurga police and subsequently handed over to the Goa police. It was revealed that Suchana allegedly committed the murder of her four-year-old son in Candolim. She then concealed the child’s body in a bag and hired a taxi to travel to Bengaluru, where she was apprehended.

The heinous crime came to light after a housekeeping staff member at a service apartment discovered bloodstains in one of the rooms. Additionally, the police and apartment staff reviewed CCTV footage, which showed Suchana leaving the premises with a bag.

According to sources, Calangute police will be travelling to Karnataka to take custody of Suchana and transport her back to Goa on transit remand. Further investigations into the case are currently underway.
