Texas Science Teacher Arrested for Allegedly Engaging in Inappropriate Relationship with Student
A science teacher in the US state of Texas has recently been taken into custody on charges of engaging in sexual activities with a student. The accused, identified as 46-year-old Stephen Griffin, is also alleged to have provided the student with perfect grades and test answers. Griffin was arrested on December 7th of last year and later released on a $5,000 bond. The complaint against him was filed in December 2023 at Harris County District Court.
The complaint has revealed that the physical relationship between Griffin and the female student had been ongoing since 2022 and continued into 2023. They would frequently meet at a hotel, as well as at Griffin’s apartment. During their inappropriate relationship, Griffin allegedly provided the student with favorable grades for assignments and test answers in advance. This pattern of favoritism continued until midsummer of 2023.

Strong Denial of Charges
Justin Harris, an attorney representing Griffin, has vehemently dismissed all accusations against his client. Harris described Griffin as a “model teacher” and told a US-based news portal, “There is absolutely no evidence to support these claims, and we firmly deny all charges.” It remains unclear whether Griffin faced any disciplinary action or was subsequently removed from his position at Memorial High School following the allegations.
