Man Arrested in Phoenix for Indecent Exposure in Bunny Suit

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — A man was apprehended by the Phoenix police on Monday morning following reports of indecent exposure while wearing a bunny suit.

According to court documents obtained by Arizona’s Family, the incident occurred around 7 a.m. when 44-year-old Nolan Patrick Matthews entered the backyard of a residence near downtown Phoenix. It was alleged that he exposed himself to a female resident and quickly fled the scene. The authorities were alerted, and officers arrived at the area near 7th Street and Interstate 10. They were provided with video evidence from a neighbor’s doorbell camera, clearly showing Matthews dressed in a “distinctive bunny suit.”

Using the footage and the description provided, police officers were able to locate and detain a man matching Matthews’ appearance. The investigating officer then brought the victim to identify the suspect, confirming Matthews as the individual involved in the indecent exposure incident. Additionally, an employee identification card belonging to Matthews was discovered during a search of the woman’s backyard.

When presented with the ID card, Matthews admitted to being in the backyard but denied any involvement in the flashing incident, according to the court documents.

Matthews has since been taken into custody and booked on charges of 2nd-degree burglary and indecent exposure.
