The assailants took Ayush five kilometers away to Cooperganj, where they subjected him to physical assault and other degrading acts. The horrifying incident allegedly involved the men firing a bullet close to Ayush’s earlobe to intimidate him, as well as forcing him to drink their urine and lick their spit from their slippers.

The motive behind the attack is believed to be a previous case registered against Ayush under Section 307 (attempt to murder) in October last year. The head constable, who filed the complaint against Ayush, is among the three individuals arrested by the police so far. The other two arrested persons have been identified as Ayush Mishra and Nandu Dubey, both residents of Kalyanpur.

Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime, Nilabja Choudhury, stated that several teams have been deployed to investigate the matter and apprehend the remaining culprits who are currently on the run. In addition to the legal action taken against them, the arrested head constable has been suspended, and a departmental inquiry will be initiated against him.

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Abhishek Kumar Pandey, Ayush had arrived in the Civil Lines area with his friend, Abhishek alias Bittu, after receiving a request on his Instagram account to meet a girl. Unbeknownst to Ayush, a group of individuals, including the head constable’s son, Himanshu Yadav, were waiting for him in a car. The group allegedly abducted Ayush at gunpoint and took him to the railway tracks near Cooperganj.
