The Indiana State Police released a statement indicating that Hubbard faces charges including dealing in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of stolen property, possession of a legend drug, and two additional misdemeanor drug charges. Cornett, on the other hand, has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of stolen property, and is also wanted on a warrant from Harrison County.

The arrests were made in connection with an unrelated investigation where authorities discovered a stolen trailer and suspected drug activity at a residence on Lake Road Southeast. Troopers noticed a trailer matching the description of the stolen one and proceeded to speak with the homeowner, identified as John Hubbard. The subsequent investigation confirmed that the trailer was indeed stolen, prompting law enforcement to contact its registered owner, who had reported it missing the previous night. During the investigation, Kimberly Rae Cornett was found inside the residence, and it was subsequently discovered that she had an outstanding warrant in Harrison County.

Further search of the property resulted in the recovery of a stolen pistol, a stolen motorcycle, numerous drug paraphernalia items, and over 25 grams of methamphetamine. Both Hubbard and Cornett were taken into custody and transported to the Harrison County Jail.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the case and are working to determine if there are any additional suspects involved. The Indiana State Police are urging anyone with information related to this incident to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
