Four People killed in Car Accident in Shimla

Shimla, January 9 (PTI) – Tragedy struck near Nandpur village in Shimla when a car carrying four individuals plunged into a deep gorge on Tuesday afternoon. The driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the fatal accident that claimed the lives of all occupants. The deceased have been identified as Manish (42), his wife Anjana (38), Jagat Ram (70), and his wife Bimla (60), all residents of Jubbal tehsil, according to the police.

The incident occurred as the car was navigating a treacherous road near Nandpur village, leaving no chance for survival. Superintendent of Police (SP), Shimla, Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi confirmed that all occupants died on the spot, leaving behind a sense of shock and grief in the community.

Authorities from the Sawra police station swiftly responded to the incident and are currently working on retrieving the bodies. Once retrieved, the bodies will be transported to Civil Hospital, Jubbal, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

This tragic accident has left the community of Jubbal tehsil devastated. Manish and Anjana, a married couple, have left behind a void that cannot be filled. Their untimely demise has left family, friends, and neighbours in a state of profound grief.

Jagat Ram and Bimla, another couple who lost their lives in the accident, were well-respected members of the community. Their absence will be sorely felt, as they were known for their kindness and warm-hearted nature.
