“Bengaluru Businesswoman Arrested for Killing 4-Year-Old Son in Goa and Transporting Body to Karnataka”

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Shivamogga, January 9: In a shocking incident, a Bengaluru-based businesswoman, Suchana Seth, was arrested on Monday, January 8, for allegedly killing her four-year-old son in a service apartment in Goa’s Candolim. The accused then took the child’s body back to Karnataka in a bag. Suchana Seth is the founder and CEO of an AI startup called Mindful AI.

The incident came to light when the housekeeping staff of the apartment noticed bloodstains left behind by Seth after she checked out on Monday morning. The staff immediately alerted the Goa police, who acted swiftly to trace Seth’s location with the help of an alert from the Karnataka police. The Goa police discovered that Seth had fled to Chitradurga district in Karnataka.

To apprehend Seth and bring her back to Goa, a team of Calangute police left for Karnataka on Monday night with a transit warrant. The joint efforts of the Goa and Karnataka police led to the successful arrest of the accused.

The police were able to locate the child’s body by employing clever tactics. According to Paresh Naik, the inspector of Calangute police station, Seth had provided a false address in Bengaluru when she booked room 404 at Hotel Sol Banyan Grande in Goa. Despite the hotel staff suggesting that flying would be faster, Seth insisted on hiring a taxi to return to Bengaluru. The hotel arranged a local taxi for her.

North Goa SP Nidhi Valsan stated that the police arrived at the hotel after receiving information about the bloodstains. CCTV footage revealed that Seth had left the apartment without her son. Naik, the inspector, contacted the taxi driver and instructed him to put Seth on the phone. He questioned her about her son’s whereabouts, to which she lied and claimed that she had left him with a friend in Fatorda. However, she provided a fake address for the friend’s house.

Naik called the taxi driver again and communicated with him in Konkani, asking him to discreetly proceed to a nearby police station. By that time, the taxi had reached Chitradurga district. Following Naik’s instructions, the taxi driver drove to the Aimangala police station without raising Seth’s suspicion.

At the police station, an officer checked the car and made a shocking discovery – the body of Seth’s son in a bag. The motive behind the murder is yet to be established by the police. However, Naik’s intuition about the body turned out to be correct.
